Since I was a little girl I've always questioned what is - I remember being 8-years-old and sitting around the dinner table with my dad debating philosophical ideas about the meaning of life, why we're here, and if reality is even real. Inherently, I know there's more to existence than the visible and physical.

Beyond deepening my own spiritual understanding, in this lifetime I have an innate and steadfast desire to help humankind and spread happiness and joy. I worry for our future - our children's future - as it feels like fear is tearing our world apart. I aim to do my part to spread understanding, peace, joy and kindness in a global effort to eradicate that fear, and leave in it's place love and compassion.

As a writer and advice columnist, I long to inspire, help, and connect to others through my words. Writing allows me to understand the world and my place in it. As Joan Didion once said, “I don't know what I think until I write it down.” Precisely! My written words are my oxygen; without the ability to express myself through them, life would carry less meaning for me and nothing would make as much sense. But even more importantly, I love that through my words I am able to relate to, forge connections with, and perhaps even bring joy to others.

On a personal level, I'm fun-loving, intuitive, open, curious, creative, outgoing and kind-hearted.  I'm a hopeless romantic who believes he's out there, somewhere, holding the other end of an invisible string; my middle name is Joye which is fitting, I suppose, as I'm constantly trying to spread it. I'm the baby in a family of 5 who's always attempting to prove she's no longer a baby.  Above all else, I'm a creator. Words are my oxygen.  Similarly, I can't imagine life without dance.  Communication through movement, in my opinion, is all powerful.  Life is creation; through words, dance, style, individuality, I will forever contiue to create.
